Align these six items before price is discussed
A comparable alternative names the primary frame, whether rigid frame or another hot-rolled system, then the secondary framing. Purlins and girts, panel type, and the foundation interface belong on different lines. A low package price that stops at main frames cannot be set beside a quote that includes insulated metal panels, doors and trim.
Wind speed in mph, wind exposure category, ground snow load in psf, and seismic design category A-F come from the project site and the adopted code. Record design live load and design dead load in psf when the buyer already has them, and name insulation as an R-value or a U-value rather than a slogan. IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, AWS D1.1 and IAS AC472 are documents to request for the quoted system and jurisdiction. A homepage mark is not evidence that the alternative, the plant or the project is covered.
Quantity, destination ZIP code, crane responsibility and partial shipments change the landed comparison. Foundation design, slab, utilities and erection may stay with the buyer. Write those exclusions before two quotations are treated as the same commercial offer.
